Who is Delwin?

I’m a Certified Life Coach, Worship Pastor, Recording Artist, Creative Collaborator, and founder of Eiland Initiatives LLC.

I’m a kid from the South Side of Chicago, born and raised. A child of the ’80s, I grew up during the glory days of Michael Jordan and the Bulls’ six NBA championships.

Like every other kid, I wanted to be like Mike.

My home was filled with love, but also heartbreak. The hardest moment of my life was when my mother, crying, told me my father had died.

I was only seven.

After that, life got complicated. I was in church several times a week, but at the same time, I admired the gangbangers on my block. I stayed in trouble at school so much that my mom once took me to the police station just to scare me straight.

Then everything shifted.

When I was eleven, I auditioned and made it into Walt Whitman & The Soul Children of Chicago, and it changed my life. Music became my saving grace—giving voice to something that had been inside me all along.

To date, I have traveled around the world as a performing artist, collaborating with other artists from Switzerland to Israel, Brazil to South Africa and Germany to Sweden.

My approach is rooted in trust, love-centered affirmation, empathetic challenge, and authentic leadership. With a degree in music, high trust in God and a little bit of luck, I have established a 20+ year career as a professional musician and worship pastor for churches, conferences and spiritual formation organizations ranging from 50 people to 30,000. I have seen a lot.

To those I collaborate with, I offer discernment, stability, and support. To my clients and conversation partners, I bring presence, attentiveness, and insight. When we work together, you'll receive the full attention of a seasoned professional deeply invested in your growth, with the expertise and confidence to guide you toward your goals.

Who Needs a Coach?

What do Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, and Bill Gates have in common—besides their success?
They all worked with the right coaches to stay at the top of their game and strengthen the areas that mattered most.

leaders have the responsibility of defining reality and holding themselves accountable.
therefore, Coaching isn’t a luxury. It’s a catalyst.

Have you plateaued in your onstage leadership?
Are you experiencing changes in your team culture?
have you worked hard on the first 90% of your role and need help mastering the final 10?
do you just need someone who isn’t in your building to be in your corner?

If your answer is “YES”, Then i’m your coach!

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a careful, intentional process of evoking awareness. a person who has been effectively coached
comes away with an improved quality of thought and a keen sense of how they can impact the world around them.

What Is the Last Ten Percent?

In every discipline, you start off with the goal of mastering a simplistic set of ideals to get a job done.
Over time, your capacity and influences grow. You increase in technique, functional skills, delegation, planning, etc, and your skillset becomes complex.
For worship leaders and pastors, that represents about 90%.
The last 10% is the stuff that takes years of intentionality, curiosity and discovery.
The last 10% is when you put everything together, and it all becomes….simple.

I help leaders identify and master their last 10%.

SEE WHAT OTHERS HAVE TO SAY…

Steve Carter, Lead Pastor of Christ Church of Oak Brook and Author of The Thing Beneath The Thing

“There are people who make you better simply by being in their presence. Delwin Eiland is one of those rare leaders for me. He has an extraordinary gift for creating sacred spaces where people feel seen, invited in, and called up into the life Jesus has for them. Whether he’s leading worship, coaching leaders, or simply sharing a conversation, Delwin doesn’t just draw out the best in people—he helps form something beautiful within them. I’m a better pastor, leader, and follower of Jesus because of him.”
